Monday-Thursday:  9 am – 3 pm.

Friday:  Closed

Saturday:  9 am – 3 pm.

Sunday:  2-6 pm.

 

PROTOCOLS, ADDRESS AND DIRECTIONS:

 

  1. You need to be 100% healthy. Enter at your own risk for Covid and other viruses.  If you are experiencing any symptoms, please stay home.
  2. Masks are optional when volunteering at The Hope Factory. There is no shame in wearing a mask.
  3. THE MINIMUM AGE TO VOLUNTEERS IS 16 YEARS. PLEASE, NO EXCEPTIONS.
  4. We are usually there by 9 am or 2 pm on most Sundays. Make sure you double check the times with your Group Leader.  You can come and go as your schedule permits.  Just let your Group Leader know so we can plan ahead.
  5. Please bring your own gloves.
  6. Please leave your own tools at home.
  7. Please bring your own lunch.
  8. No matter what you do, please come prepared to paint.
  9. Warehouses can be difficult to heat and cool. Please dress appropriately.
  10. We have indoor restrooms during the week. Honey Bucket on the weekends.
  11. We understand that sometimes life gets in the way of good intentions. If you must cancel at the last minute, please contact us as soon as you know.  Others may want to volunteer in your place.
  12. No experience necessary.  We train willing hearts.

DIRECTIONS FROM THE NORTH:  Take Hwy 99 South past the West Seattle Bridge (now closed) exit.  Once you get past the stadiums and over the viaduct, Hwy 99 also becomes East Marginal Way.  At the FIRST STOPLIGHT, turn right.  You will see Grand Central Bakery on your right.  That street is S. Nevada St.  Take that road about one block.  You will see a blue awning on your left side which says, “US Customs/Border Patrol”.  We are in the gray warehouse right next to it on the same side of the street.  Look for the “5 S. Nevada St.” sign near the big door.

 

FROM THE SOUTH:  Take Hwy 509 over the First Street Bridge.  The road angles left and becomes East Marginal Way.  Turn left at the fifth stop light.  You will see Ducky’s Office Furniture.  Once you turn left, turn immediately right in front of Ducky’s, and go past Grand Central Bakery.  S. Nevada St. is the cross street from Grand Central Bakery on East Marginal Way.  Turn left.  Take that road about one block.  You will see a blue awning on your left side which says, “US Customs/Border Patrol”.  We are in the gray warehouse right next to it on the same side of the street.  Look for the “5 S. FROM I-5:  Take I-90 West past I-5.  Turn left and head south on 1st Ave. near the stadiums.  Take 1st Ave. South and turn right onto S.
